I opened my document at the library desk and saw that the final paragraph was gone. I had saved it before leaving home, so the loss confused me.

I checked the device history and located an earlier automatic backup from the previous day. It was still on the library computer.

I restored that backup and compared it with my printed notes. The missing details were easy to spot.

I re-entered the final paragraph, corrected one small number error, and saved a new copy in the course folder.

This log records the recovery steps and the new file location, so I can repeat the process if this ever happens again.
